Berlin: Police in the German capital say they
are looking into a political motive behind the torching of 11
cars in residential Berlin neighborhoods.
Berlin police has struggled for years against vandals who
set cars alight. They said today the latest rash of incidents
involved 11 torched vehicles including BMWs and Mercedes.
Berlin police say in a statement they suspect a political
motive behind the burning and have launched an investigation.
Vandals have set fire to dozens of vehicles in the
capital already this month. Police suspect the damage is the
work of leftist extremists seeking to make a statement against
capitalism.
