New Delhi: The results of the recently held bypolls in six states – Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu Odisha and Gujarat have thrown up new political equations in the states while also reasserting the prominence of regional parties.
The BJP lost in all states apart from a sole win in Andhra Pradesh. The Congress gained big by winning in Kerala, Gujarat and Karnataka but was wiped out in Andhra Pradesh.
The AIADMK won in Tamil Nadu while BJD emerged as the winner in Odisha.
